Rademaker is known for its well-known delicious, bakery products. For me, however, Rademaker is more than that. Rademaker is an organization that feels like a family. A company small enough for a hands-on mentality and large enough to offer plenty of challenges and opportunities for growth.

Joining the Rademaker family started for me on 1 September 2012. Just out of school with internship experience at a small engineering firm and at DAF, I started as an engineer. From here, I figured out what development path suited me most. The path I took involved various positions and workplaces: from engineer, to Application Support Specialist and Principal Engineer. Eventually, I found a great opportunity as a Business Information Manager in the Processes, Information & Digitalization team.

Here, my direct colleagues and myself are responsible for the quality of the (information) architecture and the integral processes. The nice thing about this job is the diversity of work and the many contacts you have to have within the organization. So is it always rosy? No. But that’s the case in the best families. In the end, we always get the job done together.

So is Rademaker just about making a career?

No, Rademaker is much more than that. Rademaker offers enough flexibility for a good work-life balance and there are enough fun activities from the staff association and the department to get to know colleagues in an informal way as well.

So for me, Rademaker is big enough to provide new challenges every time and small enough to know many colleagues and achieve a goal together. This combination still gives me fulfillment, so I enjoy going to work every single day.
