When a friend of mine, who also worked at Rademaker at the time, mentioned that they were looking for colleagues, my interest in Rademaker was piqued. I applied, was hired in 2005 and have since been working here. I started in the bench shop to get to know the products and after six months I started working as a CNC Milling Operator.
I did CNC Mmilling for a long time, but at one point my development came to a standstill. So it was time for something new!
After a week’s training in Belgium and a CNC Machining course, the time had come. I started working as a CNC Lathe Operator. In other words, I operate machines that make materials for our lines. During the period I was transferring to my new position, I received a lot of help from colleagues. Everyone helps each other if you want to progress in your profession and is there for each other. That’s what’s so great about working at Rademaker.
Modernization also plays a big role in my job satisfaction. In recent years, Rademaker has acquired a lot of new machines and a lot of renovation work has been done, bringing a breath of fresh air to the organization. I also value the freedom I get. I have my own responsibility for the machine, can work independently and can always fall back on colleagues. Making mistakes is human, but we are not judged for it. You help each other to get better together. In addition, there is room for plenty of jokes, teambuilding and sociability with colleagues.
I have already found the next challenge within Rademaker, because in time I would like to master the other lathes as well. It is becoming more and more fun!
