I have been working at Rademaker as a Learning & Development specialist since December 2020. What does that entail? That I organise everything around learning and development within Rademaker. From coordinating training courses to providing internal training courses.

What I like about my job is that no two days are the same. I also have a lot of variety and challenge in my job. Come, I’ll walk you through an average week:

On Monday, I have a meeting with the colleagues from our Academy. I discuss which internal training courses have been requested and together we plan these. The HR team also meets every Monday to discuss various topics and share among themselves what is going on. Furthermore, I make sure that all training requests are processed and update our learning platform, the ‘Rademaker Brainfood College’. On Tuesday I start early, because that day I give a training to my colleagues about Working Together. Wednesday is my regular day off, sometimes I answer an e-mail in between. On Thursday, I start developing an e-learning, this time on Security Awareness. On Friday, I have some appointments planned with various colleagues and answer e-mails I haven’t got around to yet. And since it is almost the weekend, I finish my workday on time.

The great thing about working at Rademaker is that we have a nice, informal culture. Whether you have a question for your immediate colleague or one of the board members, it makes no difference. Everyone is willing to help you. We have a nice company restaurant in which a delicious lunch is served daily. An ideal moment to catch up with your colleagues. We also have a nice staff association which organizes an  array of different activities. From a pub quiz to a cosy BBQ.

This way, you get to know your colleagues in a fun way.
