What will you be doing as our IT Infrastructure Architect?
As our IT Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing, managing and improving the IT and OT infrastructure frameworks and guidelines within Rademaker. This applies to both our head office in Culemborg and our international offices worldwide. In consultation with our IT Infrastructure Manager, your line manager, you will translate our business objectives and IT strategy into a coherent infrastructure architecture, that can be applied both on-premise and in the cloud. You will design solutions for networks, servers, storage, cloud, workstations and security, among other things. In doing so, you will define the necessary standards, frameworks and guidelines to enable consistent use and management within both the IT and OT environments.
In the role of IT Infrastructure Architect, formulating the IT Infrastructure roadmap will be an important part of your first few months. You will collect the roadmap items from the various teams within the IT Infrastructure discipline. These are our Cloud Engineers, Modern Workplace Engineers and external partners who take care of our network management. Using storytelling, you will then substantiate these roadmaps into clear advice for, for example, our management.
The two most important roadmap items at this moment are defining our new modern workplace and the replacement of our current data centres. As IT Infrastructure Architect you will play an important role in the determination of the architectural principles, defining standard building blocks within the infrastructure, but also the high-level designs.
What are we looking for in our new colleague?
We are looking for a relevant higher professional education (HBO) or university education (WO) degree in information management, IT architecture, or similar. In addition, we hope you have at least five years of work experience in a similar role. We are looking for your experience with:
• Designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures, including OT environments such as SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks
• Network segmentation, firewalls, DMZs, and secure links between IT and OT
• Drafting infrastructure architectures, preferably within architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or DYA
• Creating and communicating both high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD)
• Knowledge of virtualization techniques, public data centers, and/or Azure
• Aligning infrastructure architecture with business objectives, security policy, and compliance
• Knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NBA-LIO, and IEC 62443 is an advantage
As we are an international organization, you will regularly be in contact with colleagues who do not speak Dutch. We also often record documentation in English. For this reason, we believe it is important that you have good communication skills in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written. We are looking for an architect with an analytical mindset and strategic vision, who can design complex infrastructure architectures in which architectural choices can be substantiated to various stakeholders. You are preferably available 40 hours a week, with at least 3 days in the office.
